Equipment: Two teddy bears, blindfolds if you are running a variation.
This is a great team challenge for all ages. With the participants sat in a circle a teddy bear is passed clockwise around the circle. A few seconds later a second teddy joins the race. The aim is for the second teddy to try to catch the first teddy.
It will be important that the teddy bears are passed
carefully between the participants with no throwing.
If a participant ends up holding two teddies at the same time they are out. If you want to have somebody commentating on The Teddy Chase then it is a good idea to get the team to name the bears before the challenge starts. This can definitely cause a few chuckles. The team could take it in turn to commentate.
If you want to play a variation of The Teddy Chase you could blindfold all of the participants. This may not be suitable for KS1 children.
