Move The Balloons
Group Size: 30 students plus (Space dependant)
Key Stages: KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5
Team Building Skills: Coordination, Speed
Equipment: Balloons – 1 per participant
Move The Balloons is a fun fast paced game that will guarantee to have your students out of breath!
The participants will need to be put into even teams. The size of the team is not important. However, if the groups are too large the students will be waiting a long time for their go.
Each participant will need their own balloon and should group at one end of the room. Each team will also need a flat surface such as a table or PE bench.
At the other end of your activity space, you will need another flat surface. Again, a table or PE bench is perfect. On this surface you will need to put the same number of paper cups as team members.
The challenge is to relocate the paper cups from the far away table to the starting table without touching them. This is done by putting a balloon in each cup and partly inflating it. Only one member of each team can be in play at any one time.
Move The Balloons is easily modified with different items that can be moved. The larger the item the harder the game!
