Fizz Buzz is a fast paced counting game…..with a twist. The group will need to sit in a circle. Decide where to start the game and that person can say out loud 1. The person to their right 2 and so on. The twist is that every time the number 3 is reached or any other number with 3 in it that number will be replaced with the word FIZZ. If the number 5 is reached or any other number with a 5 in it that number will be replaced with the word BUZZ.
If anybody gets it wrong then the team have to start again.
How fast can the team get?
Don’t tell the group but the real excitement starts when you get into the 30s.
It will go like this 1, 2, FIZZ, 4 , BUZZ, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, FIZZ, 14, BUZZ, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, FIZZ, 24, BUZZ, 26, 27, 28, 29, FIZZ, FIZZ, FIZZ, FIZZ-FIZZ, FIZZ, FIZZ-BUZZ, FIZZ, FIZZ, FIZZ, FIZZ, 40
A trickier variation with a greater numeracy focus is if the number is divisible by 3 they must add in an extra FIZZ. Likewise if it is divisible by 5 they must say an extra BUZZ.
