Lead Instructor

The Problem Solving Company, (Workshops at Schools Ltd), is looking for a member of staff to join to their growing team.

Interview Date:

28th of November 2022.

Starting date:

Monday the 9th of January 2023.

Location:

Within an hours commute of London.

 

Remuneration:

Starting Full Time Salary £24,000 rising to £25,000 after one year of service.

A pension will be offered to all employees.

Duration:

Full Time – 4 days a week for two school terms and 5 days a week for one school term.

Holidays:

10 weeks / 50 days holiday per year. This is taken during the school holidays.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be required to run a combination of outdoor team building activities, smaller Indoor team building, maths problem solving workshops and escape room-based activities.

The job is throughout the UK, but with a focus on the South East. The successful applicant must be willing to stay away during the week. (Company van, accommodation and food & drink allowance provided).

All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Applicants must be 21 or over due to our vehicle insurance policy.

Responsibilities & Duties

The successful candidate will be required to run Activity Days throughout the UK.

Ensuring curriculum links are met.

Running a timetabled day ensuring strict timekeeping.

Creating rapport with teaching staff and students.

Liaising with school staff on the day.

Driving a company van.

Leading large groups of staff for our larger days.

Working on our maintenance / development program.

Always ensuring a professional view of the company.

 

Qualifications / Skills

Current Enhanced DBS Preferred. (We will apply for this for you if successful)

Maths GCSE essential.

Outdoor leadership qualifications desirable.

Full UK driving license.

Experience of working with Primary and Secondary School aged students.

Comfortable speaking to groups of students and teachers.

Comfortable with driving in country and city locations.

Have some experience of leading a team / people management.

Happy to stay away for work.

 Punctual.

Flexible approach to work.
